"I slowed down, I learned to find satisfaction in doing menial tasks around the house. I noticed how much those tasks blessed and supported my husband as he faithfully went out every day to earn our living and how they gave my children an orderly, healthy and stable home to grow up in."
Thank you for writing this. It inspires me so much. I'm also a stay at home mom and for years I asked myself whether I had wasted my potentials. Only in the recent years I realised how much more important my presence is for my family. Thanks again!
Ah, Linda, I just saw this. I'm so happy that you could be inspired by this article. Thank you for your service to your family and your world. I can't think of a better way to spend my time. God bless you. - Amy
I can't believe I just stumbled on this post today. I'm not sure when this was posted, but I thank God for this post! I'm currently going through to a very similar situation, just that I do not have children (yet!, praying soon in God's will). I just started working in my dream job at a Christian school and I love it. Yet, it is far from home and I have been having mini-anxiety moments in the classroom that I want to just run home! Never have I longed for home like I am these past months.
I have been very encouraged reading your post, I am looking forward to seeing how God keeps opening the way that I may stay home and attend my household, which is in a bit of a disarray. May His grace and peace be multiplied to you.
Thank you for writing. I wrote this a few years ago and I'm so glad it encouraged you. I am a very happy keeper at home, and I have found many ways to use my talents without leaving it. I think you will, too. Blessings!
